Star Citizen Hangar Module Released, Crowdfunding Overtakes 16.5 Million Dollars

Star Citizen backers have been waiting for quite a while to be able to walk around and inside their beloved spaceships, and finally they can, as Cloud Imperium Games just released the game’s Hangar Module.

If you’re a backer all you have to do is to proceedĀ to this link and log in. If your game package includes at least one of the six eligible ships (Aurora, 300i, Hornet, Freelancer, Constellation or Cutlass), you’ll be able to download the installer and get your hangar running.

If you’re not a backer yet, you can become one by pledging your support on the official website. Currently the crowdfunding tally just overtook a mind boggling $16,500,000, only $500,000 short of the stretch goal that will bring some majestic flyable battlecruisers to the game.

Now, if I may be excused, I have to go do some long overdue drooling on my lovely ship. Before you go do the same, don’t forget to check out my recent interview with Game Director Chris Roberts, filmed at Gamescom in Cologne.
