To say that I'm excited for Star Citizen and Squadron 42 would be pulling a rather radical euphemism, and I know I'm definitely not the only one feeling pumped for the return of Chris Roberts to the development scene. Games like Wing Commander have been missing from too long in this industry.

Today those that are eagerly waiting for the game are in for good news, as the Kickstarter goal of $500,000 has been broken.

At the moment of this writing the game received $500,526 from 11,070 pledges on Kickstarter in addition to $1,334,232 from 14,792 eager gamers on the official website. Considering that there are still 27 days left on Kickstarter and 17 on the official site, there's plenty time to achieve most of the stretch goals.

If you want to know more, stay tuned, because there's a Star Citizen surprise coming tomorrow on DualShockers. No spoilers, but you'll like it. Or else.
