Star Citizen Pushes Past The Two Million Dollars Goal, Shows Starship Design Document

Yesterday I interviewed the creator of Wing Commander Chris Roberts on the upcoming Star Citizen, but how are things going on the crowd funding side of things?  Very well actually.

This morning the game reached the first overall crowd funding goal of $ 2,000,00o. Basically, Star Citizen is now a reality.

To be more precise Cloud Imperium Games received $596,300 from 12,952 backers on Kickstarter and $1,435,272 from 15900 pledges on the official site at the moment of this writing, and there are still several days left for more to come.

But there’s more news for those that are craving more information. The developer published a juicy design document that not only describes in detail how starships will work in the Star Citizen universe, but also gives us some info on the ships that will go to those that pledge.

It’s definitely interesting, especially for simulator nuts like me. Can’t say Roberts and his crew didn’t put some thought into it.
