Cloud Imperium Games will continue to evolve its plans for crashed ships and derelicts in Star Citizen as the latest development video reveals upcoming Derelicts of Daymar that will be much bigger than current Reclaimer crash sites.
In the latest episode of Inside Star Citizen, the developers revealed a new piece of upcoming content to Star Citizen, which is the improved version of Reclaimer Derelicts that we already received with Alpha 3.17.2. Derelicts of Daymar will feature two crashed ships instead of one to give players a bigger opportunity to explore the crash site and find loots. Located on Daymar, you will find crashed 600i and MSR in the new Derelicts coupled with a bunch of small camps as well as a watch tower. The interesting part is you won't simply see a crashed ship in plain sight.
The new Derelicts on Daymar actually represent a combination of outposts and crash sites, which hints at the fact that some people have already used the crashed ships to build a survival camp for themselves on Daymar.
As a result, you will find different parts of MSR used for weird purposes such as building a resource store or tall watch towers. On the other hand, the 600i has been hanged off of multiple ropes inside a cave, which gives it a unique look.
The developer didn't reveal if you would face any difficulties or enemies when exploring the new crash sites, but it seems like you will be able to safely explore the new Derelicts on Daymar.
Furthermore, the new episode of ISC brought an update to the colonialized outposts, introducing a new feature called Overlay that changes the look of existing buildings and structures such as Homesteads as they get occupied by outlaw groups. The video also showcases a bit of gameplay on one of the colonialized outposts with a bit of AI improvements, but there is still no release window for this feature. Colonialized outpost is going to be one of the core parts of the Pyro system, used as homes to many outlaw groups in this new Star System. That being said, you can expect to see occupied Homesteads in Stanton as well.
