Square Enix has certainly been pushing the graphics of mobile games with Mobius: Final Fantasy, and now they’re applying the concept to the Star Ocean series with Star Ocean: Anamnesis, that is defined a “high-end action RPG,” and certainly looks quite good for a mobile game.

The publsher released a batch of official high resolution screenshots and character models for you to gawk at, including familiar characters and the new ones Ivrish and Koro.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how the game plays, since gameplay was a bit of a weak spot for Mobius. This is advertised as an action RPG, so it might be more dynamic.

Incidentally, the gallery below also shows the new bunny plushie that will be sold in Japan starting in late November to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series.

The game will be released within the year in Japan for iOS and Android.
