Star Strike Delta Releases in Japan Next Week

Take any and all asteroid shooter online games that were popular with schoolkids wasting time in the computer lab in the late ’90s, add more color, put them in a world that plays like Super Mario Galaxy, and add in some back touch-screen capability, and you have Star Strike Delta (to be named Super Stardust Delta in the US/EU release.)

It’s coming out via the PSN for Japan one week from today for 1,000 yen (about $13.) I actually got my hands on it for a few minutes in December, and I had a lot of fun with it. Star Strike Delta is super easy to pick up, but very challenging, not to mention addicting. I have a competitive streak a mile wide, so every time I died (quite often in the space of about 15 minutes) I just got angrier and more determined to beat it the next time.

Check out the trailer below to see for yourself. If you’re planning on getting a Vita, I highly recommend downloading this game as well.
