Perfect World Entertainment announced today that Star Trek Online Season 13 Escalation will be coming to consoles next month.

Console players on both Xbox One and PS4 will discover challenging new missions as they play their way through two new episodes:

  • Featured Episode “Mirrors and Smoke” – Captains will travel to New Kentar to defend the planet from the Tzenkethi invaders.
  • Survivor – An episode regarding Sela, Empress of the Romulan Star Empire.

Season 13 also marks the official debut of War Games on Xbox One and PS4. This is a new system in the game which will use two teams (one player, one AI). They both will go toe to toe in scenarios in order to win various rewards. These will not be cross platform compatible, and rewards are only earned against players on your platform.

Perfect World Entertainment and Arc Games provided an in depth breakdown of the upcoming season and additions which is as follows

Season 13 – Escalation takes console captains to New Kentar, where they embark on a mission to help the Lukari learn more about their past. Their exploration of the planet’s bustling urban landscape is soon interrupted by the Tzenkthi, who warp in and threaten to decimate the planet’s colony world. This all takes place in the featured episode, “Mirrors and Smoke.

Rewards include class-specific set gear for starships, which are now available on console for the very first time. A full list of features available with the launch of Season 13 will be revealed when the update launches on June 6.

Star Trek Online has been available on PC for some time, with the console launch just releasing last Summer. All of the PC content will be caught up on console when Escalation launches on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Star Trek Online is free to play on both Xbox One and PS4 and is available from both digital store fronts.
