One of the best parts of PC gaming is the occasional promotions for free games, with the Epic Games Store doling out new ones every week. Following its holiday season spree of one new free game every day, the online store has revealed its next free weekly title. From January 14 to January 21, anyone with an Epic Games Store account can download Star Wars: Battlefront 2 for free.

Not only will players be able to get Dice's Star Wars shooter for free, but they'll be getting more than the base version. The Epic Games Store is giving away the Celebration Edition of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Included in this version is a ton of content to customize your troops, including items inspired by the latest Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2's previous track record shouldn't stop anyone from at least adding it to their library. At launch, the game was criticized for its egregious use of microtransactions, loot boxes, and pay to win practices. In the time since, however, Battlefront 2 has become a solid team-based third-person shooter. For any Star Wars fans, this is a must get as well. There's nothing quite like walking out onto the battlefield as Darth Maul while Duel of The Fates plays.

Until then, anyone with an Epic Games Store account can nab its current free title, Crying Suns. This rogue-lite is also set in space but doesn't feature any blasters or sorcerers. Instead, it puts players in the shoes of a space fleet commander exploring the ruins of a fallen empire. Players can pick up Crying Suns on the Epic Games Store for free until January 14, when it will be replaced by Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
