Star Wars: Battlefront Gets Info on Flight and Vehicles; Gameplay Coming in “Near Future”
The reveal of Star Wars: Battlefront probably left fans with more questions than answers, and the game’s developers answered some today.
Community Manager Mathew Everett confirmed a few vehicles that will be playable in the game:
6.) Can you name a vehicle that can be piloted other than the AT-ST? Snow speeders, Speeder bike and more.
7.) Can you name a ship that can be piloted other than X-Wings and Tie-Fighters? Millennium Falcon and more.
He also was asked how starships handle compared to Battlefield games, and looks like there are good news for those who found flight difficult in DICE’s modern combat series.
A lot easier to fly. Very Padawan friendly. We will go into more details on what makes them Padawan friendly and Jedi master-able (is that even a word?).
Everett then gave a bit more precise indication on when we’ll finally see actual gameplay. I guess “near future” is better than what we got so far.
Near future. But keep an eye on our channels for announcements.
Finally, Design Director Niklas Fegraeus also clarified that the lack of iron sights on certain weapons will not affect aim down sights gameplay, as it’s just cosmetic.
Just to clarify, in #SWBattlefront, missing iron sights on certain weapons will have no effect on ADS gameplay. It’s just a visual thing.
