When Star Wars Battlefront II was officially announced earlier this year, we knew that we would eventually get content based on the upcoming (and latest) film entry in the franchise, The Last Jedi. Now that we are just over a week away from the film's release, EA DICE has officially revealed that we will be getting four weeks of brand new content starting now.

First and foremost, this week players will be able to between either the Resistance or First Order faction and will earn points for each respective team based on the completion of certain challenges. For the first week, players will need to get 50 kills while using each type of specific trooper class. You'll also be able to get some extra credits and parts for participating, as well.

Next week, on December 13th, 2017, is when things kick into overdrive. This is when Captain Phasma and Finn will be added to the game as playable hero characters, as well as the new maps Crait and D'qar. Players will also be able to control a brand new vehicle, and complete daily challenges. The same day will also see the release of the brand new story content for the game, which will follow the main character Iden Versio during the early days of the First Order.

Finally, throughout the rest of the month, players will have the opportunity to complete more challenges, both for your faction and not. This season of content is set to end on December 27th, 2017. You can check out a full list of content in an infographic at the end of the article (click to enlarge at full size).

Star Wars Battlefront II was officially released on November 14th, 2017, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
