Star Wars Battlefront II was finally revealed to the world yesterday at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida. With it came tons of details ranging from the game's new single player campaign, to the new additions that will be making their way into multiplayer.

One of the features that was discussed at the Battlefront II panel was the inclusion of offline splitscreen co-op. This co-op mode will allow gamers to play with others on their couches and earn customization rewards before then bringing those upgrades with them to the multiplayer portion of the game.

Unfortunately, the PC version of the game will not support this offline splitscreen mode. In a recent post on Xbox Wire, it was confirmed that this game mode will only be available on the console version of Battlefront II.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise since the 2015 edition of Battlefront also didn't allow for splitscreen co-op on PC. While it may be the best platform in terms of performance, PC has never been the go-to destination for offline co-op with friends. While it's unfortunate to see that the PC version of the game won't contain this feature, it's hardly shocking.

Star Wars Battlefront II is slated to come out on November 17 of 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, those who purchase the deluxe edition of the game will be able to play it a few days early on November 14.

Be sure to check out all of our recent coverage for Battlefront II ranging from the new additions that we will see in the sequel, to pre-order details, and even some fantastic looking screenshots.
