With April 17th holding the highly-anticipated reveal of EA and DICE’s upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, one piece of news at least may show where players may want to place their pre-orders prior to the game’s release: if you happen to be on Xbox One and have an EA Access membership, this might just be the case.
In a tweet from Microsoft game marketing lead Aaron Greenberg, EA Access will provide Xbox One owners first access to Star Wars: Battlefront, which is currently in development alongside versions for PS4 and PC.
As with previous releases from EA such as Battlefield: Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition, membership for EA Access will allow users to access the publisher’s new releases within a certain period prior to release usually for a specified amount of time.
Though more details weren’t revealed by Greenberg at this time on when Battlefront will be on EA Access, for how long, and if there are any restrictions that will be placed during its period on the service, it can be assumed that a similar situation will be put into place for Star Wars: Battlefront during its trial period on EA Access as with previous titles like Battlefield: Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Star Wars: Battlefront is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
