To coincide with the unofficial Star Wars holiday, May the 4th, Respawn Entertainment and EA have today released a new, free update for last year's release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

This new wave of content for Fallen Order adds a whole slew of additional challenges and combat modes to continuing testing your Force and lightsaber skills with Cal Kestis. Meditation Training is a new game mode that has been added to the title today and allows you to square off against waves of enemies and bosses in various environments. These combat challenges only become available after you finish the game through the first time and then start up New Journey+, which has also been added to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order today.

Another aspect of Meditation Training is that of the Battle Grid, which allows you to design your own combat encounters entirely. Through a set of options, you'll be able to determine which enemy types you want to fight, where you want to battle, and which modifiers you'd like to add to specific engagements. This means that if you love the combat of Fallen Order, you'll be able to keep making your own unique battles time and time again.

Alongside these new combat arenas, a slate of new customization options have also been added to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for those playing New Journey+. Some of these new cosmetics include new outfits for Cal, new skins for BD-1, and most notably, the ability to now don an Inquisitor uniform and carry a red lightsaber. Previously, red sabers were not available for use in Fallen Order, but it seems as though Respawn is now allowing players to tap into their dark side just a bit more.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For more on Star Wars video games, be sure to check out Steam's ongoing sale today that features a variety of popular titles that have been highly discounted.
