Respawn Entertainment's upcoming Star Wars action-adventure project Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has an air of mystery circulating it due to the lack of information that players have received since the game's original announcement back in 2016.

Since 2016, the only information fans have gained is the title and a release window of "Holiday 2019" during EA Play 2018, with "more to come" at Star Wars Celebration in April 2019. Due to this, speculation is through the roof regarding the project and false rumors are popping up left right and center.

Usually, we would not report on a rumor like the one we're about to cover due to Reddit posts like these circulating constantly with no credibility or substance to them - but this particular rumor has some peculiarities that should possibly not be ignored.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

In a Reddit post on r/StarWarsLeaks, a user under the name "Xyzsvtabc" posted a dump of apparent information regarding various Star Wars projects. Many users in the comments originally were extremely cynical, as is expected for an unsubstantiated rumor.

However, as time passed a reliable source in the Star Wars community, MakingStarWars, created an article mentioning that some details in the post about Star Wars: Episode IX lined up with information they had gathered from their own sources.

This does not mean that the post is entirely credible - but it does add some believability. Anywho, the post states that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is releasing in November 2019. The user also points out that it takes place 5 years after the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and "follows the main character whose name is Cal[.]"

Apparently, Cal is a padawan who survived the efforts of Order 66, the plan to kill off the remaining Jedi. According to the leaker, Cal "has a mentor figure who is a woman named Ceres."

"The only other thing I remember is them talking about other characters they would come across from some of the comics. The mentioned the 9th sister and 2nd sister? Something about Inquisitors? I wish I could remember more about this. They showed a ton of artwork."

Again, you have to take this rumor with a grain of salt. But, the added credibility of reliable sources confirming elements of the post being real is something to consider. Not just that, but the user in question actually has a history on Reddit of leaking content to do with upcoming Marvel Studios movies.

They claim to get their information from a Star Wars Marketing Presentation by Disney. The full post may have minor spoilers for upcoming films, TV shows, and games. A majority of comments criticizing the user have since been edited to apologize in wake of MakingStarWars' article.

This is a rumor, and that should be remembered before we jump to conclusions. However, we're keeping an open mind. We'll update you if anything else arises regarding Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
