Find out all the details about when you can play the new Switch port.

November 9, 2021

Star Wars KOTOR is one of the most well respected western RPGs of all time and now it’s coming out on Nintendo Switch and we have details on the release date, time, and price.

This is not to be confused with the recently announced and much anticipated Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake that is exclusive to PS5 as far as we know.

Instead, this release is just a vanilla port of the original game that released for Xbox back in 2003.

Star Wars KOTOR Release Date and Time

Star Wars KOTOR is the latest port of a classic Star Wars game to come from developer Aspyr, set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch pretty much as it did on the original platform.

The release for the game is coming very soon, as Star Wars KOTOR is set to release on November 11, 2021 exclusively for the Switch.

As this is a digital-only game releasing for now at least, the release time for Star Wars KOTOR should be 9 am PT on November 11. While you usually see major game releases come out at midnight, that is not the case for digital-only games.

Some third party games do occasionally not release until noon PT, but we are assuming that this one will be at 9 am PT.

Knights of the Old Republic Price For Switch

Considering Star Wars KOTOR is quite an old game by this point, you wouldn’t expect the game to cost too much this number of years later.

That is exactly the case too, as Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on Switch costs only $14.99, which is a heck of a bargain for a game as great as this.

As of the launch of the game for Switch, there is no physical version on cartridge or even a game case you can buy with a code in it. Instead, KOTOR is exclusive to the Nintendo eShop on the system.

This is something we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see change in the future though, as we’ve already seen physical collection releases come later for ports like Star Wars Episode I Racer and more.

That is all the information we have about the release date, time, and price for Star Wars KOTOR, so make sure to check it out this week upon its release.
