Star Wars: The Old Republic Delayed

January 13, 2010

Apparently there are still bugs to be fixed for Bioware and their MMOG Star Wars: The Old Republic. In an announcement made by Bioware Austin community manager Sean Dahlberg, he stated the planned release was now Spring 2011.

“While we have not announced a specific date, we can confirm that we are targeting a spring 2011 release for Star Wars: The Old Republic”

This comes as very bad news for EA, a company already laying off over 1000 employees, and even more bad news for Star Wars fans looking ahead to the latest game that takes you to a galaxy far far away. Hopefully EA can get its act together and get things rolling again. Until then, Star Wars fans will have to wait 1 more year to get their hands on the anticipated title.
