Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Knights of the Fallen Empire Expansion Gets a New Story Trailer

After first being introduced at this year’s E3 2015, EA and BioWare’s upcoming Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic gave a closer look at Gamescome of what to expect in its struggle between the Jedi and Sith.

During its presentation at Gamescom 2015, EA revealed a new trailer for Knights of the Fallen Empire, the new expansion that will release for Star Wars: The Old Republic in October of this year.

Inside the trailer, viewers will get a closer look at the story to unravel in Knights of the Fallen Empire, which will be told through episodic installments that continues the story after launch: the initial release will include nine chapters, with more to come in the months after.

Titled “Become the Outlander,” the trailer shows Knights of the Fallen Empire‘s playable protagonist, The Outlander, which players will choose to either align with the forces of the Jedi or Sith.

EA also confirmed that players going into the new expansion can either bring over their previous characters from The Old Republic, or start Knights of the Fallen Empire fresh with a new character.

In a final note, EA also revealed that players who subscribe to The Old Republic now through August 10th, 2015 will be able to receive a special companion character named Nico Okarr, for free before the launch of Knights of the Fallen Empire this fall.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently available on PC, with the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion to release on October 27th, 2015 – in the meantime, you can check out the brand new story trailer for the expansion below:
