Many people understandably agree that StarCraft is an awesome game. The graphics department was one of the few areas that could've benefitted from a touch-up, which we got when it was remastered in 2017. But what if we got a full-fledged makeover instead? The answer to that question looks like StarCraft: Cartooned--and it came out today.

StarCraft: Cartooned is a complete and official reimagining of the 1998 sci-fi strategy game from Blizzard. It looks extremely similar to a Carbot Animations cartoon because it comes from the same guy, Canadian artist and animator Jonathan Burton. Check out its release trailer here.

StarCraft: Cartooned is $10 if you own StarCraft: Remastered, which is required to play the cutesy graphics pack. The remaster is $15 if you don't already own it. You can also purchase the two as a bundle for $25.

Carbot Animations is well known for his cartoons in the Blizzard crowd. He's created shows based on StarCraft, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo, and WarCraft, all of which net him hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. Some even have over 60 episodes.

This isn't the first StarCraft mod from Carbot Animations. He created a StarCraft II mod back in 2015 that similarly recreated the game in his style. While that mod only affected the arcade mode, StarCraft: Cartooned is a recreation of an entire game. Only the visuals have been touched--they'll be interlaced with the original music and voice acting (which is arguably even better).
