You know you are addicted to a game when you start viewing replays… in your sleep. I found myself literally dreaming about Starcraft II last night. I could see myself building probes and working out strategies and then realized that I was in fact asleep. I woke up laughing to myself and thinking 'wow'. This had not happened to me for a while, I was having video game pr0n dreams.

It probably had to do with the fact that I lost a few games of Starcraft II, making me very very angry, earlier in the evening and had jumped on my iPad to look over strategies. I looked up various YouTube videos to gather up intel on units and builds while scouring forums to see what optimal builds and powers were necessary to curb stomp enemies. I looked up opening strategies much like a chess player devises what their opening moves will be during a match.

I had not done this much research on a game in a long time and it felt good. Starcraft II is that kind of game though I'm thinking game, where strategies prevail over brute force and cunning beats out cheesiness. If you like to shoot people in the face with a sniper rifle or carry Akimbo Shotguns go f@ck yourself because that is not what this game is all about, but it will teach you the inner workings of the best RTS ever made.

Starcraft II where have you been and why did it take you so long to pop back up into my life? Have you been experiencing the same? What you haven’t played it yet!? Go play right now and call me when you start losing sleep.
