StarCraft II’s Next Announcer is Overwatch’s Very Own D.Va
Everyone’s favorite eSports player — D.Va — is coming to StarCraft II as an announcer, Blizzard announced today. She will first be available for people attending BlizzCon (or who hold a virtual ticket for the event) as part of the cache of StarCraft II’s in-game goodies.
D.Va as an announcer will then be available for purchase at a later date (no further details were given), but her portrait is exclusive to BlizzCon-goers and holders of the virtual ticket.
She is set to be the first announcer whose origins lie outside the realm of StarCraft II lore. According to her official StarCraft World Championships Series profile, before her Overwatch fame D.Va began her career as a pro StarCraft player at the age of 16. However, she had to put that career on the back-burner so she could focus on saving the world in Overwatch. Cute, right?
