StarCraft Getting New Four-Part Comic Mini-Series This Summer from Dark Horse, StarCraft: Scavengers
Blizzard has announced a new collaboration with Dark Horse Comics in StarCraft: Scavengers, a four-part mini-series debuting this July.
StarCraft is a series rich in lore thanks to the game’s compelling universe and characters, and now those looking to dig a little deeper into the series’ story can do so this summer with a new comic series on the way.
In a report from Polygon, Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new four-part comic mini-series called StarCraft: Scavengers, which will be produced in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics. The comic series will be written by DC Comics and Valiant Entertainment’s Jody Houser, and artist Gabriel Guzman will be drawing the series, who previously worked on Dark Horses’ Mass Effect: Discovery graphic novel.
As far as the series’ storyline is concerned, Blizzard provided a description for the mini-series that the story will focus on a group of Terrans that are in search of an abandoned Protoss ship on an unexplored (and potentially hostile) planet. Specifically, the story will be seen “from the point of view of a young, inexperienced engineer” as the team races to salvage what they can from the planet before having their mission compromised.
StarCraft: Scavengers‘ first issue will debut on July 25th, 2018. For a closer look at the upcoming series, you can check out the cover art for the first issue of the series below:
