Stardew Valley Update to Add New End-Game Content and Willy Gets a Door
The next update for Stardew Valley will include a significant new piece of end-game content.
Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe has given a little tease as to what players can expect to see in the upcoming update that’s due to be heading to the game at some point. Earlier this year, February to be precise, Eric Barone celebrated the games 4th anniversary by announcing an update he’s working on. The update will bring the game to version 1.5. It was stated that this update would be free and would bring “lots of new content”.
in a new tweet, Eric Barone seems to be adding a door for Willy to pop in and out of. Or at least that’s what I expect to happen, but considering Stardew Valley is filled with secrets there’s more than likely something hidden back there.
Stardew Valley 1.5 update… notice anything new in Willy’s shop? Progress on the update is coming along steadily. It’s still in a “nose to the grindstone” phase, but some good milestones have been met. This update adds a significant new piece of end-game content and much more! pic.twitter.com/FmjgDJnqYO

There’s no further information about this new door that’s going to be appearing in Stardew Valley, but fans have been speculating on many possible options. Some wanting to have Willy available to marry, some wondering if the doorway leads to a boat, and many others theories. Who knows, maybe it’s just a room for Willy to hang out. I personally think a strong friendship will grant you access to some sort of special fishing rod.
According to Eric, the update as a whole is still in the “nose to grindstone” phases but clarifies that milestones have been met. The update is also not only adding more content, but it’s adding a “significant new piece of end-game content.
A physical version of the Nintendo Switch version of the game has recently been teased, there’s also bananas. But while all this content heading to Stardew Valley seems plentiful and keeping the developer busy, Eric is also working on a new project set in the same world.
Stardew Valley is available for PC, iOS, Android, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
