The popular slice-of-life simulation Stardew Valley became one of 2016's breakout indie hits, with the title coming to Nintendo Switch later this year for those looking to take their farms wherever they go.

During today's Nindies Broadcast highlighting indie games on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo revealed that Stardew Valley will release for the Nintendo Switch this summer, bringing over the popular farming title to its first portable version.

In addition to the release window, Nintendo also revealed that the Nintendo Switch will also be "the very first console" to support the upcoming multiplayer features in Stardew Valley (aside from the PC version), while the idea of a portable version of the wildly-popular title is definitely an appealing factor to longtime players or those looking to jump in to the game for the first time.

Stardew Valley will be heading to Nintendo Switch this summer, while the title is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.
