The frenetic third-person shooter, Starhawk, from LightBox is getting a public beta on January 17. If you missed out on the private beta this fall, now’s your chance to experience the multiplayer that LightBox and SCEA Santa Monica have worked their butts off working on.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that everyone is going to be able to have access and play on the 17th. That day is reserved for private beta participants and PS Plus subscribers. Those that purchased Uncharted 3 will be able to jump in on the 31st. As for everyone else, expect the beta to be available for download on February 21.
Both Facebook and Gamestop are offering early-access codes that can be redeemable on February 7th; you can read more about that opportunity by clicking here: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/01/13/call-to-arms-starhawk-public-beta-begins-tuesday-january-17th/
It’s my most anticipated PS3 title thus far and not having a release date yet is killing me! If you’ve never heard of Starhawk, do yourself a favor and check out Warhawk for the PS3; the multiplayer is as addictive as chocolate. And I don’t even like chocolate!
