This year's go-to Christmas gift for younger gamers is looking to be none other than Ubisoft's Starlink: Battle for Atlas; a title that mixes toys with in-game features. The latest trailer shows an abundance of the interchangeable toys and accessories that are available to mix and match in order to create the ultimate battleship.

The live-action trailer shows a young boy sitting a couch enjoying the game on Nintendo Switch. You can clearly see that his ship of choice is Star Fox's iconic Arwing as it is not only displayed on his TV screen, but also a physical model of the ship is attached to his controller. As he trades the cannons on the wings for a different selection of guns, the in-game ship also changes its weapon layout to correspond with the model's alterations.

The boy is then joined by an older kid for some 2-player co-op action and the pair proceed to build their ships from a multitude of accessories laid out on the table in front of them, showing a number of different variations that can be created.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Naturally, Star Fox's Arwing is exclusive to the Switch version.
