At today’s Microsoft E3 press conference, we finally got a view at the much-anticipated sequel to Undead Labs’ 2013 open-world zombie survival title State of Decay.

Since its E3 2016 announcement debut, little else has been said about State of Decay 2. Now we've got a brand new gameplay trailer, which shows the game running in 4K.

In the gory gameplay trailer we see a couple of the decisions players can expect to make in order to ensure the survival of their group, such as where to establish an encampment, how to defend it, and ultimately deciding who might be most expendable if drastic measures need to be taken.

Previously, we provided you with the slew of concept art that developer Undead Labs had been keeping on a slow leak earlier this year. We recently also received details on how State of Decay 2’s maps were going to be split into 3 locations.

The original State of Decay was an Xbox 360 console exclusive. Its sequel has been revealed to be a Play Anywhere title for Xbox One and Windows 10. It is anticipated to release in Spring 2018.
