In a surprise move, we got the first peek at the zombie-survival game State of Decay 3 at the Xbox Games Showcase. Likely riding the wave of popularity from The Last of Us Part II, it's hard not to be thrilled by the debut trailer. While we didn't get a peek at gameplay, we do already know some details -- namely the consoles it will hit and that it will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

As mentioned above, news comes from the Xbox Game Showcase in the list of games optimized for Xbox Series X. Catch the reveal trailer, below:

The trailer starts off with a hunter in the wilderness, who scares away a prowling wolf. After tracking down the beast, we find the wolf getting eaten alive by a zombie deer. While the trailer is cinematic, hopefully we see similar levels of fidelity on the Xbox Series X.

Unfortunately, we don't have any gameplay to go along with this. But hey, I guess that is to be expected when we don't even know the release date of the Xbox Series X. However, we do know that the title will launch on Xbox Game Pass -- so that is great news to subscribers.

State of Decay 3 is coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X is coming sometime down the line, though no release date has been revealed.. Make sure to keep your eyes on DualShockers for our takes and coverage of the rest of the Xbox Games Showcase.
