State of Decay Devs Announcing New Game on Monday, Microsoft and Zombies Aren’t Involved
State of Decay developer Undead Labs announced today on Twitter that on Monday we’re going to hear about their next game, which is completely unrelated to their previous title.
Having said all I can about SoD’s bright future, should I mention we’re announcing a game on Monday that has nothing to do with SoD? Hmm.

They also mentioned that the new game isn’t a zombie game, and won’t be published by Microsoft.
It is not a zombie game. Like… not at all a zombie game. More than that, I cannot say. — Undead Labs (@undeadlabs) July 30, 2014
No zombies, no Microsoft. AND NO MORE HINTS.

Community Manager Sanya Weathers (that old Dark Age of Camelot players like me will surely remember) also promised that this doesn’t mean that State of Decay will be abandoned, and that they’ll be working on both games at the same time. Incidentally we also hear that a possible Xbox One port of State of Decay is still being discussed, but the studio has nothing final to share.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see what they will announce, especially considering the radical departure from the title that made the studio popular. Of course you’re going to hear all about it here on DualShockers next Monday.
