State of Decay II Heartland DLC Revealed at Xbox E3 Press Conference

State of Decay 2 gets a new narrative-based DLC Heartlands on Xbox today. The expansion follows two different characters as they search for someone in Trumbull Valley.

State of Decay 2 is getting a brand new DLC called Heartland and it’s out today. Announced at today’s Xbox Press Conference, the expansion follows the story of two different characters as they explore the zombie-filled wasteland. Developer Undead Labs is calling this their biggest expansion yet. You can watch the trailer yourself below.

The story-based expansion takes you back to Trumbull Valley. As mentioned above, you’ll play as two different characters on their separate path. One follows a young woman looking for “the father (she) never knew”. While the other, sees an older man looking for “the hero (he) never met”. Both are going to Trumbull Valley as that is the last place the people they’re searching for were seen.

The team at Undead Labs claims that the threats you’ll face in this new expansion are “more aggressive (and) deadlier” than anything we’ve seen in State of Decay 2 so far. Fortunately, you’ll have access to a number of new items that should make thinning out the zombie hordes just a little more manageable.

State of Decay 2’s Heartland DLC is out today. It is included with Xbox Game Pass, so if you have that, make sure to pick it up. Stay with Dualshockers for all the latest E3 news.
