Steam may be evolving into a marketplace for films, TV shows and songs, according to a recent update to the Steam Beta.
As spotted by Steam Database, a new series of app types have been added to Steam’s files.
It’s a definite suggestion that Steam may be opening up the sort of content it sells. General applications are already sold on the site, as are a few movies, but so far the main focus is still games.
It is however possible that these updated application types are merely placeholders however.
