If the details regarding Steam’s Big Picture haven’t reached you yet, allow Valve to explain its plan to infiltrate your living room via this video. It outlines how Valve’s digital distribution service, Steam, will soon be available to use on your television.

Valve have designed Big Picture to be an alternative to gaming on a desktop computer, enabling players to easily navigate Steam with a controller. However, this doesn’t mean users won’t be able to use a mouse and keyboard if they prefer. Check out the video for more, including details on Big Picture’s browser functionality.

Valve confirm via their website that the PC beta for Big Picture will begin today, with a Mac beta coming soon.
