Valve made a surprising announcement at the Steam Dev Days Conference taking place in Seattle today and tomorrow: their Steam user base has shot up to 75 million, which is a 10 percent increase in just three months. Back in October, the company announced that Steam had 65 million users total.

The conference also saw the release of a chart breaking down the Steam market in terms of regions:

North America and Western Europe combined make up 81 percent of the Steam market, with Oceania and Russian Territories tied for a far second place at 5 percent.
