2017 was certainly filled with some incredible games, and PC players definitely took to Steam (and their wallets) to enjoy not only this year's best games, but plenty of old favorites according to the retailer's Best-Of charts.

Steam has released its annual "Best-Of" lists for 2017 that breaks down the year's best, with the lists specifically categorizing achievements in sales, the year's most played games, and many more.

The big list comes down to the year's Top 100 Best-Selling Games, which features different groups (Platinum, Gold, Silver, etc.) highlighting the games that earned the highest gross revenue in 2017, though no explicit sales numbers or figures were provided by Steam itself.

That list includes some of the usual suspects from Steam such as PlayerUnknown's BattlegroundsDota 2Rokcet League, and Grand Theft Auto V. However, some other new titles like Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands and a few familiar faces like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Rainbow Six: Siege also worked their way towards the top of the best-sellers list.

In addition to the best sellers list, Steam has also broken down other lists of 2017's best-selling games by categories such as Top New Releases, Top-Selling VR Games, Top Early Access Graduates, and Most Simultaneous Players.
