The team behind SteamWorld Dig 2, Image & Form Games, have revealed El Huervo (Niklas Åkerblad), will be the main composer behind the soundtrack. El Huervo is known for his works for the soundtrack of Hotline Miami.

During an announcement video published on Image & Form's YouTube channel, the team shared new information about the main city hub where players rendezvous in SteamWorld Dig 2. The city is called El Machino.

In El Machino, players will return to and interact with the locals as they learn about the history of the town while also picking up quests, selling resources, and purchasing upgrades.

In this little town, El Huervo's music comes into play, quite literally. His tunes will be your background music as you peruse around the town. Image & Form Games provided a short music video (seen below) showcasing some new gameplay featuring El Huervo's track, "New Heights in El Machino".

SteamWorld Dig 2 is at PAX West this weekend and welcomes fans to stop by their booth to get your hands on some gameplay. Check out the video below to hear El Huervo's track starting at minute 3:04.

The Game is slated to launch initially on Nintendo Switch on September 21, 2017. Following this release, the game will then come to PC, MAC, Linux, and PS4.
