Last year, Image & Form Games released both SteamWorld Dig 2 and SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch, carving out a nice little place for themselves on the platform. Now, it is has been revealed that the studio will be releasing the original SteamWorld Dig on the system next week.

SteamWorld Dig will release on Nintendo Switch on February 1 and will cost $9.99, which is what the title is currently priced at on other platforms. This port was revealed and dated by Image & Form's Brjann Sigurgeirsso during an interview for an upcoming episode of Daan Koopman's eShop Action Committee Podcast, which you can listen to at NintendoWorldReport.

Releasing on Nintendo Switch makes SteamWorld Dig's ports come full circle, as the game initially released on the 3DS and helped put Image & Form on the map. After releasing on 3DS in August of 2013, SteamWorld Dig made its way to PC, Mac, and Linux later that year, then came to PS4, PS Vita, and Wii U in 2014 before finally releasing on Xbox One in June of 2015.
