Today, peripheral gaming company SteelSeries has announced a brand-new line of gaming headsets, the Arctis Pro series.

According to the press release, the Arctis Pro series is considered a breakthrough for gaming headsets; When designing a new line of headsets, SteelSeries wanted to grow and push consumer expectations when it came to gaming headphones. Similar to how PC part manufacturers are continually making new breakthroughs with gaming GPUs and Monitors. In total, there are three headsets in the Arctis Pro series: the Arctis Pro + GameDAC ($249.99), Arctis Pro Wireless ($329.99), and Arctis Pro ($179.99); each of the three headsets offer 40,000 Hz capable high-fidelity speaker drivers and a comfortable design.

The Arctis Pro + GameDAC is a certified Hi-Res Audio System that ensures high-fidelity 96kHz/24-bit, allowing gamers to experience the pure joy of high fidelity audio. Several other notable features for this particular headset includes premium speaker drivers with high-density neodymium magnets, 95dB Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise; the Arctis Pro + GameDAC performs as well as high-end audio sound production.

Unlike its sibling the Arctis Pro + GameDAC, the Arctis Pro Wireless offers swappable dual-battery system, with each battery lasting at least 10 hours of power to provide gamers with 20 hours of gaming. Those who purchase the Arctis Pro Wireless can utilize the 2.4G and Bluetooth connections simultaneously, making this a versatile headset so gamers can play their favorite games and also use Discord chat or listen to music. The Arctis Pro Wireless headset can do this by connecting to a wireless transmitter base station via SteelSeries’ 2.4G connection to provide lossless and ultralow latency wireless audio with up to 40 feet of range.

Lastly, the Arctis Pro offers all the same features as the Pro Wireless with the most distinctive (and apparent features) being the wireless functionality and RGB lighting which is only available in the Arctis Pro. 

It is also worth noting that both the GameDAC and Arctis Pro Wireless’ wireless transmitter offers an OLED screen for quick settings adjustments without the need for additional software. Of course, if you would like to go more in-depth with customization, the option is available via the SteelSeries Engine software for PC.
