Ubisoft released a trailer this week featuring the snowy mountains of Japan for players to explore in the Steep: Road to the Olympics expansion. Players get the massive open-world area to train to take part in qualifiers to compete in the game's 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The trailer features some gorgeous shots of a Japanese mountainscape with players shredding and honing their skills against a background of cherry blossom trees and beautiful Japanese architecture.  The Road to the Olympics expansion gives players a new story mode based off of real athletes and allows them to take part in multiple events like Downhill,  Halfpipe, Snowboard Cross,  Ski Halfpipe, Ski Cross, and Ski Slopestyle against other players online in order to win medals.

Last month, Ubisoft announced season one of their live activities for Steep.  The first month of season one began on April 1st. Previously, they released videos about the making of the Road to the Olympics expansion right before the 2018 Winter Olympics back in February.

You can check out the trailer featuring the area to explore in Japan below.  Steep: Road to the Olympics is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you are ready to explore the cherry blossom's peaks, you can grab Steep on Amazon (currently on sale).
