Ubisoft's extreme sports game Steep has recently begun its new Freeride World Tour tournament. This new challenge will allow the game's best players to come together and compete for exclusive prizes and unique in-game rewards.

The qualifying round of the Freeride World Tour began yesterday, March 17, and runs through next Thursday, March 23. Each day a new challenge will be added for players to compete in.

Those who make it to the tournament phase of the challenge, which runs from March 23 to March 27, will be greeted by the Steep of Doom challenge which is set in the Cursed Mountain region. From here, the 32 best players on each platform - Xbox One, PS4, and PC - will advance to the finals.

The final round of the Freeride World Tour will set players in Aravis. This last phase will run from March 31 to April 4 and rewards will be given out to those who finish in the top three on each of the game's platforms. Ubisoft has also said that more details regarding this round of the World Tour will be given later.

If you don't make the top three, then don't worry, you can still win some prizes. Those who make the tournament and finals rounds of the World Tour are also eligible to receive exclusive prizes. Even if you don't think you can win the whole tournament, there's still no harm in competing as you may earn rewards in the end after all.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer to accompany the beginning of the tournament while also giving more details on the Freeride World Tour itself. Be sure to check it out for yourself below.
