Stephane Roncada Rejoins MX vs. ATV Developer Rainbow Studios

Nordic Games has announced today that Stephane Roncada has joined Rainbow Studios to work on new MX vs. ATV titles. Roncada was a former East Coast 250 Supercross champion and started working in the video game industry almost 15 years ago on the original title, MX vs. ATV Unleashed.

“I’m thrilled to return to the MX vs. ATV team at Rainbow Studios,” Roncada said in an official statement. “I enjoy making video games tremendously, but to have the opportunity to develop motocross games again is extra special. It gives me the opportunity to bring what I found most fun and exciting about real racing to many people at home, who might not have the opportunity to race Supercross for real.”

As part of the liquidation of THQ last year, Nordic games acquired the rights to the MX vs. ATV franchise and quietly assembled several former developers with a mixture of fresh talent to develop a brand new entry into the beloved series. MX vs ATV: Supercross will be the first entry in the series since 2011’s MX vs. ATV Alive when it releases later this year on PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 7th.
