Stephen Colbert Interviews Sean Murray on No Man's Sky, Debuts Colbison
Last night Stephen Colbert expanded his show to incorporate video games, bringing Sean Murray of Hello Games to show off their upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC game No Man’s Sky. Colbert had previously interviewed Pewdiepie, but this was the first time a gameplay demo was shown on his version of The Late Show. Sadly even while being grilled by Colbert, Murray would not divulge a release date.
Being played using a Dualshock 4 controller, Sean Murray guided Stephen through the basics of the game, first explaining that due to the size of the game, 18 quintillion planets, our own sun would burn out before all of them were discovered. He lands on a planet, jumping between various ecosystems on other planets throughout the local system for the interest of time.
While exploring, they also decided to name some of the creatures they encountered. There was the Colbison, Molebear, Stephenus Rex, Codbert, Colbertasaurus, and the planet Colbert Prime, which obviously resides in the Colbert System. The gameplay demo ends with Murray zooming out of the galaxy like previous demos, stating that every star you see has its own system of planets.
You can enjoy the demo and commentary by Murray and Colbert in the video below.
