Stop the Bot-Maegeddon and Robophobia in Iron Soul

July 3, 2013

It’s the future: and as usual, it sucks. With a suspected alien invasion approaching, robot soldiers are made to defend the world from without: but who can defend the world from within? With humanity’s cybernetic guardians going awry, it falls on one silent protagonist to fight this army of mad robots: H-25, the hero of Iron Soul.

Drawing on classic third person shooters like MDK, Iron Soul combines platforming and shooting for what’s said to be an action-packed story-driven game. The game will have two narrative-focused campaigns that follow H-25 and his mentor, which include “uniquely designed” enemies that will encourage players to think strategically which weapons to use, and various environments layered with challenges and secret. H-25 will have at his disposal tight controls, strong manueverability and a free and “non-sticky” cover system.

Iron Soul is said to have full voice acting and is set to release in early September this year for the PC and Mac via digital distribution platforms. For a closer look at the game, check out the trailer and screenshots below.

Masoud House

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
