Stop the Mutant Zombie Apocalypse… With Shaq-Fu

on January 8, 2013 12:13 AM

For those of you who remember when Shaq was in movies (like the unforgettable Kazaam, or the legendary Steel), you probably remember Shaq’s memorable 16-bit game, Shaq-Fu. Well, almost two decades later, Shaq is back, and this time’s not a genie or a poorly clad armored superhero: no, this time he’s the savior of the human race.

From Hiptic Games and One Spear come ShaqDown, a mobile game being developed for Android devices where the famous basketball player is the only person capable of freeing humanity from mutant zombies. Using the ultra special powers of “Free Throws” and “Jump Shots,” Shaq–the “Justice Bringer”–takes on a legion of enemies in a constant side-scrolling battle on multiple levels.

The game will be available today, Jan, 08, 2013. Check out the trailer below for a look at the game, and stay tuned to for more news.
