Strange Journey Official Site Goes Online

January 6, 2010

Are you new to the Shin Megami Tensei franchise?  Want to know more about it?  Head on over to the newly-opened official Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey site and check out the special section, “What is SMT?”.  It’ll fill you in on the general history of the franchise.  (Or, conversely, you can check Wikipedia, but I think I’d be more likely to trust the series’ developer!)

Along with a history of the franchise, the site offers everything that you’re likely accustomed to game web sites having – details on the game’s story, its cast, battle systems, demon summoning and, of course, the ever-present downloads area. According to Atlus’ Aram Jabbari:

“The official website for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is the only source of information anyone needs to consult for breaking news on the situation in the Schwarzwelt. Please remain calm and bookmark the website for regular updates from trusted experts on the subject.”

The latest in the SMT franchise is scheduled to hit store shelves on March 23, 2010, for the Nintendo DS at a MSRP of $34.99.  As is fairly common for an Atlus release, all the copies available at launch will be packaged with a bonus soundtrack CD.  Excited yet?
