Stranger Things 3: The Game Revealed at The Game Awards

In the midst of The Game Awards, a new co-op game based on the third season of Stranger Things was revealed by The Duffer Brothers.

As one of Netflix’s most popular series, Stranger Things and its ’80s vibes and creepy, supernatural tone are a perfect fit for games, with a new title in the works from the Duffer Brothers based on the upcoming third season.

During The Game Awards 2018, the Duffer Brothers — the creators of the acclaimed Netflix series Strangers Things — revealed that a new co-op beat ’em up style game is in development called Stranger Things 3: The Game, which will be based around the third season of the series that is expected to debut in summer 2019.

The game itself will be developed by Bonus XP in collaboration with Netflix, and as seen from the reveal at The Game Awards, it will feature a retro-style aesthetic where players will band together as various characters from the series to take on baddies like classic beat ’em up games of the past.

Stranger Things 3: The Game will release on consoles and PC next year. For a closer look at the game, you can check out the video below from Netflix:
