Last year's breakout TV hit Stranger Things brought viewers into a nostalgia-filled trek through a gripping and mysterious sci-fi fueled story, with the series getting a new mobile game to celebrate the upcoming release of its second season.

Netflix has announced Stranger Things: The Game, which is a 16-bit style adventure game in the vein of The Legend of Zelda. The game takes place in the series' location of Hawkins, Indiana, as characters like Hopper, Mike, Eleven, and others solve puzzles and explore the town's mysterious happenings with a variety of unique powers and abilities.

The mobile game is developed by BonusXP, and is available on both mobile platforms as a free download, and no additional microstransactions or in-app purchases are present in the game either. Given the series' love of '80s nostalgia, the game should prove a nice throwback to the 16-bit era before the second season premieres, which is airing on Netflix on October 27th, 2017.
