Every year it seems like more and more people are playing games in ways that their developers never intended. Just this year, streamer SuperLouis64 beat Dark Souls 3 again using a controller he created using bananas. Yesterday, Twitch streamer TheStevieP finally got a kill in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer using a Guitar Hero controller.https://gfycat.com/misguidedpoisedarcticseal-call-of-duty-cold-war-codWhile this feat may seem entirely crazy and unachievable to some, TheStevieP has been playing and streaming the game with a Guitar Hero controller since its release back in November. He breaks down his button layout in a stream of the popular "zombies" mode:"To actually walk is down on the strum bar, walking backward is up on the strum bar. To look around, red is to the left, yellow is to the right, blue is up, orange is down, and then green shoots. I don't have a reload, I don't have an 'F' button, I don't have an 'X' button, and I definitely don't have a grenade button."

Lately, TheStevieP's streams have been about trying to see how far he can get in certain game modes using the limited buttons on his controller, but Call of Duty isn't the only game under his Guitar Hero belt. His Twitch channel is full of games he's completed using the irregular controller including the original Castlevania, Megaman 2, and the original Super Mario Bros.

While 2-D games certainly have simpler controls than 3-D ones such as Call of Duty, they're by no means easy and are definitely not made easier when changing the controller up.

When asked about his Guitar Hero background, TheStevieP said, "I've actually FC'd every song on GHIII except One, Raining Blood and Through The Fire and Flames."
