Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s Newest Fighter Kage Shines in First Screenshots and Gameplay Breakdown
Following Kage's announcement yesterday, Capcom released new screenshots and a gameplay breakdown video detaling Street Fighter V's newest fighter.
The first fighter to come alongside Season 4 of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Kage, is now available to purchase with either 100,000 Fight Money or for $5.99 in real currency. To accompany this character’s release, Capcom released several new screenshots featuring Kage as well as a gameplay breakdown video.
For those of haven’t heard of this brand new fighter, Kage is actually the physical embodiment of the Satsui no Hado which is the evil spirit that can take over Ryu and turn him into Evil Ryu. As Ryu rejected the Setsui no Hado during Street Fighter V’s story, the spirit has decided to take things into its own hands and manifested itself physically.
In action, Kage looks like a brutal mix between Ryu and Akuma, though he does stand out somewhat with like his V-Triggers which let him teleport and slam his enemies in to the ground. Kage is also described by Capcom as a “glass canon” that’s very powerful but somewhat frail. All of this is reflected in both his screenshots and character breakdown, so they are both worth checking out if you are considering playing as Kage in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.
The first gameplay screenshots and gameplay breakdown video can be viewed below. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is currently available for PC and PS4 and is available on Amazon. You can also check out DualShockers’ retrospective of Street Fighter V from two years after its initial release.
