Today, professional Street Fighter V player Du "NuckleDu" Dang took first place at DreamHack Montreal. Dang posted an image of himself with the trophy on Twitter, where he also announced that he'd be donating all of his winnings towards Hurricane Irma relief.You can check out the Tweet below:
According to DreamHack's website, the prize money on the line for Street Fighter V was $10,000 this year.
If you're not familiar with DreamHack, it's a massive LAN convention that has drawn in tons of competitive eSports tournaments. This year's event featured Counter Strike: Global Offensive, the Hearthstone Grand Prix, Smash Bros on Wii U, Melee, Starcraft II, and The Capcom Pro Tour. Â
Earlier this week Bungie partnered with Direct Relief for Hurricane Harvey support. Offering players a pin as well as an exclusive emblem in Destiny 2. There's also been a large amount of support coming from other game communities and streamers as well with relief towards Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
