Street Fighter EX developer Arika is going to be bringing their newest game to Evo 2017 in a playable form according to a tweet from the tournament's organizer Joey Cuellar.

The developer teased their upcoming game last April Fool's day with a trailer featuring a playable prototype that was initially thought to be a joke amongst fans.

Arika is credited with developing all of the Street Fighter EX games including EX2, EX3, and all of their EX Plus sequels. The developer has been on a very long hiatus from the fighting game genre. Street Fighter EX3 came out back in 2000 for the PS2.  They also had a hand in Super Dragon Ball Z on the PS2 back in 2005.

EVO will be taking place from July 14 to July 16 so you can expect an official announcement around that time. The tournament features multiple fighting games and some of the best players from around the world.

Some fans have already begun speculating about the new title. Some think it'll be a return to the Street Fighter EX series while others think it'll be a new game entirely.
