Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s Holiday Costumes Set the Scene for Some Festive Fisticuffs

Blanka, Cody, Falke, and Sakura get into the winter spirit with the addition of new holiday season-themed outfits in Street fighter V: Arcade Edition.

With the holiday season officially in full swing, it seems that everyone is getting into the festive spirit. This includes members of the one-on-one fighting game Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition through a number of quite charming holiday-themed costumes.

Sporting their holiday outfits are four out of the six characters from the title’s third season. Bizarrely Sagat and G are nowhere to be seen in the trailer below.

Newcomer Falke can be seen wearing a long red winter coat edged with white fur and tightened around her waist by a thick green belt. Her staff, which is her signature weapon, has been replaced by a striped candy cane. Mistletoe can be seen attached to her hat, and a pair of elves’ shoes are on her feet.

Veteran fighter Blanka is no stranger to unusual costumes. This time the electrifying Brazilian monster is channeling his inner Christmas spirit through an amusing reindeer onesie topped with a  tiny Santa hat. His large physique sees his arms bursting out of the sleeves while his long hair flows out of the back of the headpiece.

The Street Fighter Alpha series from the late 1990s is also well represented by both Cody and Sakura. Originally from the mean streets of Final Fight’s Metro City, Cody’s seen here sporting a full Santa Claus suit completed by his short grey facial hair. Sakura’s outfit stands out from the others with its dark color scheme. She is seen in a short black skirt and a lingerie-style top. Tigh-high stockings and long gloves are also added and the outfit features a pair of reindeer antlers as a headpiece.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC with the holiday costumes dropping on November 27. You can secure a copy of the well renowned competitivee title via Amazon.
